Who is Jet Z?

Acoustic Rock with Attitude

Hailing from Orlando, Florida, Jet Z has been making his name known across the state. These days Jet Z has turned his focus on the acoustic arena, and has received wide appeal as a solo entertainer. Armed with nothing but a guitar and his vocal chords, Jet Z has been making bars and clubs sing and dance for years. Just to keep things exciting, and reminiscent of his old band Soundhole, Jet Z has additional musicians to compliment his acoustical performances. These musicians are all solo artists in their own right, but the combination is formidable. They include other guitarists and singers, conga players, djembe players, and keyboardists. Occasionally, during these shows, Jet Z may switch back over to his roots on the bass, or even pick up a mandolin for a blue grass tune or two.

Starting in the early 90’s with the band Aura Djinn, which he fronted for almost 8 years, until more recently with the band The Eightfold Way, Jet Z has always been know for playing with some of the highest caliber musicians Orlando has had to offer. Not just that, but each band has had a reputation for performing the most challenging songs possible. Unique harmonies, odd time signatures, and epic musical pieces have always been the trademark of his projects. Bands like Rush, Yes, Pink Floyd, Rage Against the Machine, Sublime and 311 are regulars in his rock band’s set list.

Jet Z knows how to work a crowd by making it a point to get to know his audience by taking requests or encouraging them to sing along. He constantly adds to his fan base via email lists and myspace friends so people will know when and where he is playing next. From Miami to Orlando, from Tampa to Daytona, Jet Z has been around and knows how to entertain each unique audience. His music selection ranges from classic rock to modern rock which enables him to entertain audiences which may change from the Happy Hour crowd to “late night party” crowd.

Whether as a solo artist, duo, for full electric band there is always something worth remembering at a Jet Z show.
